Print equipment and equipment exports are better than imports in the first quarter of this year

According to the statistics released by the General Administration of Customs in April, China’s import and export of printing equipment and equipment stood at US$434.84 million in March 2014, an increase of 1.01% year-on-year, of which US$229.08 billion was imported, down 2.69% year-on-year, and exports 2.0576. Billion US dollars, up 5.47% year-on-year. From January to March this year, the cumulative import and export volume was 1.18282 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 2.14% year-on-year; of this, imports were 628.02 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year decline of 0.88%, and exports were 5.548 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 5.79% year-on-year. From the overall situation, the export situation in the first quarter was better than imports.

In March, the total import and export volume increased year-on-year

In March, the import and export of printing equipment and equipment was US$434.84 million, an increase of 1.01% year-on-year, of which imports were US$2.2908 billion, which was a year-on-year decrease of 2.69% and exports were US$2.0576 billion, which was a year-on-year increase of 5.47%.

Among them, in terms of imports, printing equipment imported 2.0204 billion US dollars, an increase of 0.04%, an increase of 29.28%; printing equipment imports 0.2704 billion US dollars, down 19.12% year-on-year, an increase of 1.83%.

From the year-on-year data, the number of postpress equipment has increased significantly. Although the printing machine has increased by 6.48%, the distribution is extremely uneven: the offset printing machine increased by 1.45%, other conventional printing presses fell by 9.38%, and the digital printing press increased by 29.40%. Although the number of auxiliary parts was reduced by 20.52%, the number of auxiliary parts for non-digital printing presses increased by 41.03%, while the auxiliary parts for digital printing presses fell.

On the export side, although the overall figure increased year-on-year, on the sub-items, printing equipment exports were US$151.15 billion, up 10.19% year-on-year, and printing equipment exports were US$0.5461 billion, down 5.70% year-on-year. All three sub-items were in decline: printing inks fell 1.89%, offset printing plates fell 6.61%, and flexographic printing plates fell 24.76%. Sub-items of "overall diving" are rare. The ring data is also better than the year-on-year data. Except that the offset printing press and the flexographic printing press have a drop of 40.41% and 45.07%, respectively, all other items have double-digit growth.

In the first quarter, imports fell and exports rose

On the import side, in the first quarter, imports of printing equipment and equipment totaled 626.02 billion U.S. dollars, of which printing equipment imported 540.06 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 0.74%, and printing equipment imported 0.8746 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 1.73%.

Compared with the first quarter of last year, the prepress, postpress, and printing presses in the printing equipment all had varying degrees of growth, but the number of auxiliary parts decreased by 24.74%, especially for auxiliary parts for digital presses. Despite the 1.73% decline in printing equipment, the flexographic printing plate still has an increase of 17.14%.

In terms of exports, the first quarter of printing equipment and equipment exports was 5.548 billion U.S. dollars, up 5.79% year-on-year, of which printing equipment exports were 4.0347 billion U.S. dollars, up 6.75% year-on-year; printing equipment exports were 151.3 billion U.S. dollars, up 3.3% year-on-year. Only the export of printing presses in the major items was flat (down 0.01%) year-on-year, but its children are quite different. Offset of export of offset presses fell by 12.01%, other conventional presses increased by 7.82%, and digital presses declined by 1.80 percent. All other sub-items are in a growth trend, with pre-press, post-press and flexo devices growing at a double-digit rate.
