Lucky develops flexible resin plate for packaging and printing

A flexible resin plate for packaging printing was successfully developed at the second film factory of Lekai Group and was recently launched into the domestic market, thus changing the situation of foreign brands monopolizing the Chinese market.

Flexo printing is widely used in printing cartons, labels, food packaging, and magnetic card tickets due to its good environmental protection, wide range of printing materials, high resistance to printing, and easy combination of printers. It has been rapidly developed in Europe and the United States. The production of flexible resin plates is difficult and the technology is complicated. At present, only a few large companies in foreign countries can produce such plates. In order to launch the domestic flexible resin version as soon as possible, the second film factory has accelerated the pace of research and development of the product since 2004. In April 2005, the photosensitive layer and the adhesive layer formulations were basically determined, and the relevant process lines and parameters were initially determined. In 2006, the plant built a flexible resin plate pilot production line. In September of that year, it produced a flexible resin plate that met the user's requirements for appearance and performance.

Since then, after more than one year of technical improvement, in November 2007, the second film factory produced a flexible resin plate that met the printing requirements. In the first quarter of this year, the plant's pilot production line has been continuously producing qualified products with consistent performance and appearance requirements for printing.
