Chris Bonington - Chris Bonnington

Born in 1934 in Hampstead, England. He married Wendy with 2 children.
16 year old mountaineer. During his long mountaineering career, he was recognized as an outstanding mountaineer in the world and was conferred a knighthood by the Queen of England.
In 1977 he and Doug Scott boarded Ogre in Karakorum, and Doug slipped his legs when he fell. Chris also broke the ribs. They broke the grain and almost exhausted when they reached the base camp. Doug crawls with his legs for six days. Together with their companions, they thought they were dead and removed the tent. This is a classic story. In the end they miraculously survived.
In 2000, at the age of 65, he was even more active in the exploration of the Asian Peak and Greenland. His expedition can be found on his home page.
Chris Bonnington is a very well-known leader. He is not only good at leading small climbing teams, but is also particularly good at leading large-scale climbing teams and is at the 8000-meter level.
