Adjust the NPDC curve in G7 (2)

<p> Draw a curve

Draw the neutral density measurement in the fifth column of P2P on CMY chart paper. For the sake of simplicity, the red vertical line on the chart corresponds to the P2P color fast formula.

Find the actual production maximum

Find the actual production maximum value that is closest to the maximum density value in the standard chart. If not, you can parallel the upper and lower curves and redraw a new curve to make it intersect at 100%.

Determine the calibration point

Check the chart to see how many points need to be corrected. Generally, the points that need to be corrected are where the bending is obvious. For example, in the graph on the right, the calibration points are at 2% and 15%. The ideal points are 10% and 20% for maximum accuracy.

Calculate RIP curve correction value

Follow the steps below for each curve on the chart (or plot points for your RIP):

Draw a vertical line from bottom to top to intersect the target line

Draw another horizontal line from the intersection point (left or right) to intersect the target line

Draw a vertical line down from the intersection point and intersect the coordinate axis to obtain a new target value. Record the value on the drawing and repeat the above steps at each curve point, and keep at 0% and 100%
