At present, the representative standard of environmental test within the scope of military standards is GJB150 "Environmental Test Method for Military Equipment", and the rain test (rain test chamber) is the test item specified in GJB150. The purpose of this test is to help determine the following environmental impacts associated with rain, water spray or dripping:
1. The effectiveness of the protective cover, casing and sealing gasket to prevent water from penetrating into the equipment;
2. The ability of the equipment to meet its performance requirements after exposure to water and exposure;
3. Any physical damage to the equipment due to rain;
4. The effectiveness of any drainage device;
5. The effectiveness of the protection provided by the packaged equipment.
