What is a low-impact mountaineering?

The basic principle of low-impact mountain climbing is not to disturb it when passing through a place, and leave no evidence that you once had.

When traveling

Walk on the ready path. Don't arbitrarily open up a zigzag mountain path that goes up the mountain, otherwise it will cause damage. Keep a tandem on the ready-made grassland path and walk past when you come across the mud – instead of walking around, the path will not widen and increase. When walking through areas without paths, walk lighter and look for paths on sturdy surfaces that will do the least damage to the plants. If you do not walk through the plant area that does not have a ready-made path, you must let everyone move away and do not move forward in a row. This causes less damage and is less likely to cause damage.

Camping site

Try to find a bald camp with no plants in the well-equipped camping area. If there is no well-equipped camping area, snow or rocks are the second choice. Avoid camping on the grass; if not so, remember that some mosses are harder than trees. If you must camp on the grass, your movements should be very gentle; at the same time, stay at one or two nights.

Campfire

Cook with a camping stove and don't start a fire; because when you pick up firewood, you can trample the terrain, step on unnecessary paths, and destroy the ecology of the area.

washing

Wash things away from the camp and water sources. Use less soap that will destroy the ecology and will not break down naturally, or not at all. Do not wash things directly in the streams. As far as possible, the damage in the vicinity of the waterway is minimized; the use of bagged water in water can reduce the number of times of returning to the stream and reduce the damage and impact.

animal

Do not feed wild animals - whether you intentionally feed or leave the remaining food. Leave the pet at home.

Waste

Put your garbage together with the trash left by the previous climbers and bring them out of the mountains. Treat your waste properly.

Team hiking

Do not follow too tightly and give your teammates a little space. It's best to go three to five steps away. Don't fall behind too much, so as not to lose contact with your teammates, or always let the person in front wait for you to catch up. When you want to let go of the tree branches that you've gotten out of the way, be sure to look back. Don't hit the teammates behind and call out "Caution!" to remind the teammates behind. It is best to bypass the branch directly or drill it underneath, unless you have to grasp the branches to do light assurance. When you stop to tighten your shoes, adjust your backpack, take pictures, or admire the scenery, you must go to the side of the road and, if possible, stand by your teammates. You must first ask for permission before bypassing your teammates and pick a good spot to overtake. Don't squeeze your elbows and squeeze them forward. Be polite when you meet with the oncoming mountaineering team. According to tradition, the downhill team must be allowed to get to one side so that the team can go uphill without interrupting the pace. The speed of the pace must reach the fixed point as planned, but it should not be a bad teammate. If someone can't catch up, adjust the pace of the team so that he doesn't fall too far behind. Don’t let your teammates get out of the team, either the first or last team. At the break, wait for the last teammate to catch up and give him time to rest. Try to make the slowest teammate lead the way and set the pace. This kind of incentive can speed up the pace of slowness. You do not need to worry about long-distance hiking or downhill seeking for your route. You must specify a meeting place. The most senior teammate is required to lead or postpone, so that members of the small climbing team can advance at their best pace. We must greet with a smile; we must trust people. Make a pleased companion.

Mountain trails

Do not cross the borders on both sides of the mountain to protect the plants on both sides, which means that it will be a column. Step lighter. The border areas between mud and snow are particularly vulnerable. In the spring and late fall rain seasons, the soil contains moisture and is easily damaged. Therefore, care must be taken when walking. Do not cut zigzags in order to protect the plants and prevent erosion of the soil. Maintain a clear mountain path and pick up rubbish. Look for restful areas to rest and pick out fragile plant belts. Use your eyes to enjoy or take pictures instead of picking flowers or collecting specimens. Avoid damage to river banks or stream banks and reduce soil erosion. Off-road hiking try to select the gravel area to avoid the delicate grass. When walking past the grasslands with no mountain roads, the players should be dispersed to take different routes and minimize the damage to grassland.
