Progress in research on new inorganic refractory paper

Recently, Zhu Yingjie, a researcher of Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has made a series of progress in the research of new inorganic refractory paper. The team successfully prepared hydroxyapatite ultra-long nanowire refractory paper with high flexibility, good biocompatibility, high temperature resistance and non-combustion in 2014 (Lu et al., Chemistry-A European Journal, 20, 1242-1246 (2014)), has good application prospects, and has been widely concerned and reported by domestic and foreign media and academic journals. Since then, the team has made a series of research progress.

In the exploration of the preparation method of hydroxyapatite ultra-long nanowires as a raw material for the construction of new inorganic refractory paper, a universal solvothermal method of calcium oleate precursor was developed, using a variety of different monohydric alcohols to prepare high Ultra-long hydroxyapatite nanowires with aspect ratio, the length of nanowires can reach more than 100 microns, and the maximum length is even close to 1000 microns; related research work was published in "Ceramics International, 41, 6098-6102 (2015 )). In addition, the solvothermal method of the calcium oleate precursor was extended to a variety of different soluble phosphate and phosphorus sources to prepare hydroxyapatite ultra-long nanowires with high aspect ratio; related research work was published in Materials Letters , 144, 135-137 (2015)). Good research progress has also been made in the exploration of the preparation technology of hydroxyapatite ultra-long nanowires, and the preparation technology of the reactor with a volume of 10 upgrades has been developed, and it has good repeatability. Exploring research on the low-cost preparation technology of hydroxyapatite ultra-long nanowires is currently underway.

Through a lot of experimental exploration, the optimized formulation of hydroxyapatite ultra-long nanowire slurry, the optimized formulation of inorganic adhesive and the refractory paper making technology were developed. The strength and other properties of the prepared hydroxyapatite refractory paper were significantly improved, and the refractory The size of the paper is enlarged from the original few centimeters to A4 size (21 cm × 29.7 cm), which can be directly used for color printing by the printer, and the effect is good. At present, the main performance indicators of the developed hydroxyapatite refractory paper can reach the national standard of copy paper, which can be applied to special office papers such as writing, copiers, printers, calligraphy and drawing paper, high temperature resistant label paper and archives and other important documents Long-term preservation, etc.

Antibacterial refractory paper has good application prospects due to its high-efficiency antibacterial function. Paper and paper products are indispensable supplies in people's life and work. Some frequently used and exchanged papers, such as medical records paper, banknote paper and various bills, etc., bacteria are easy to attach to the surface of the paper and spread through the crowd, which is harmful to human health Poses a serious threat. In addition, the preservation of important collections of books and cultural relics also needs to prevent mold. Therefore, the development of new antibacterial inorganic refractory paper has important research significance and practical value. Recently, the team of Zhu Yingjie developed the preparation technology of new antibacterial hydroxyapatite refractory paper, and prepared nano-silver composite hydroxyapatite ultra-long nanowires with good dispersibility and adjustable content by one-step solvothermal method, and successfully prepared New antibacterial hydroxyapatite refractory paper with adjustable size and thickness. The paper has high flexibility, good biocompatibility and high-efficiency antibacterial properties. It is non-combustible and resistant to high temperatures. The relevant research results were highly evaluated by reviewers and published as cover papers and hot papers in "European Chemistry" (Xiong et al., Chemistry-A European Journal, 22, 11224-11231 (2016)). Shortly after the publication of the paper, ChemistryViews gave a bright report on the research work of new antibacterial inorganic refractory paper under the title of Nanowire Paper with Antibacterial Activity on July 17. Then on August 1, the journal "Chemical Engineering" (This paper has antibacterial activity) also made a bright report on the research work.

The patent for the invention of the new hydroxyapatite refractory paper "high flexibility, high temperature, non-combustible hydroxyapatite paper and its preparation method" has been authorized (patent number ZL201310687363.2). In addition, the team also established a refractory paper research platform with a variety of instruments and equipment, which provides good scientific conditions and research foundation for the research work of new inorganic refractory paper.

At present, the research team is focusing on the application of new inorganic refractory paper, the main research work includes special inorganic refractory paper, functional refractory paper, high-efficiency adsorption filter paper, flame retardant materials and biomedical materials.
