Transforming plastic bottle waste into useful items is a great way to reduce environmental impact and get creative. In this project, we're turning a plastic bottle into a handy watering can for your garden or indoor plants.
Start by preparing the bottle. You can use an old oil container or any large plastic bottle you have at home. Cut off the top part of the bottle using scissors or a utility knife. This will be the main body of your watering can.
Next, create a handle. You can use a sturdy piece of wood, metal rod, or even another plastic bottle. Attach it to the side of the bottle using strong glue or by punching holes and threading the handle through. Make sure it’s secure so it won’t break during use.
On one side of the handle, create a small opening at the top. This will allow you to fill the watering can easily. You can also add a spout if you want more control over the water flow.
Finally, on the opposite side of the handle, poke several small holes using a pair of scissors or an awl. These holes will act as the sprinkler, allowing water to drip out evenly when you lift the can. Now your DIY watering can is ready to use!
