Japan launches EB hardening ink without photopolymerization initiator

Toyo Ink Manufacturing Co., Ltd. of Japan introduced an EB (Electronic Wire) hardening ink that does not require a photopolymerization starter, and this ink can realize a high-function printing system and is the world's first. Compared with general products, the developed product has a 2.5 times higher pigment concentration and can be colored. Because it does not use photo initiators, solvents, and instant substrates, it can be printed on polyolefin films.

In the printing market related to various films and flexible packaging materials such as paper, there is a need for a gravure printing ink or a packaging ink to a UV (ultraviolet) hardening ink that can reduce the organic solvent, and a UV hardening coating printing system. However, the high-speed printability is restricted, and the photopolymerization initiator contained in the UV ink is responsible for the cost increase. The EB hardening printing system introduced by Toyo Ink Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is "Min-Ebweb33." After printing, the ink is instantly hardened, and even if it is rolled up, high-concentration, high-concealed printing quality can be obtained, for PET, PP, PE, PS, etc. The adhesion of the film is high.
