After dismantling, it is also called Brahman clips and knickers. The book roll is folded around a certain width, plus a book, making it a booklet that can be read at any time. Buddhist scriptures were hidden in ancient times, and this type of binding was used more often. Ancient memorials and Tablets also used this form (Figure 3).

Butterfly installation Each page of the book is folded at the center of the edigree. There is a face-to-face in the text, and then a number of folded pages are aligned and pasted into a booklet. Using this bound form, the appearance is similar to the current paperback book. When the book is read, the book page is like a butterfly with two wings flying. It is called a butterfly costume (Figure 4). Butterfly decoration is the main form of the Song and Yuan editions. It changed the scroll style that followed the millennium and adapted to the characteristics of one page and one edition of engraving printing. It is a major step forward. "Ming Dynasty Arts and Literature" prefaces the Secret Court books are all left by the Song and Yuan Dynasties, are all exquisite. With the use of a fold, the outside world can be damaged. "But this version of the inward binding form of the mind, people will encounter when there is no word page when reading, while the version of the heart is easy to fall off, resulting in page loss, so it gradually replaced the package back.

The back pack will print the folded pages of the pages and fold them outwards. Then the pages will be bound in a stack of paper and then loaded with a book. Because the whole book is wrapped in thick paper for skin, it is not visible, so it is called the back loading. (Figure 5). The back pack appeared in the Southern Song Dynasty and prevailed before the Yuan Dynasty and the Mid Ming Dynasty. The Qing Dynasty court books such as calendar records, "Siku Quanshu" also use this binding. Package back-loading has changed the form of the butterfly version inwards, and no longer appears as a non-word page, but it does not solve the shortcomings of easy-disengagement pages, so it has evolved into a line-up format.

Wire binding is the most commonly used binding method for ancient books. The difference between it and the back pack is that instead of wrapping the entire page, it uses a single page of clothing, perforation, and binding. This form of binding may have appeared in the Southern Song Dynasty, but it only became popular after the Jiajing period in the Ming Dynasty. This type of binding was basically adopted in the Qing Dynasty. Its characteristic is to solve the butterfly outfit, the problem of easy loading and unloading on the back of the bag, and at the same time it is easy to repair and re-order (Figure 6).

From the above, we can see that the binding of ancient books has a development and evolution process. Different stages of popularization in different periods, understanding this process, are very important for the identification of ancient books. The handed-down Song editions were mostly renovated by later generations, or they were changed to back packs or line outfits. However, after careful observation, traces of pasting can still be found at the heart of the edition, and there are signs of wear on the outer edges of the pages.
