Since then, through continuous technological improvements, this environmentally friendly material was used in food packaging in the 1990s. At present, this material has been used by Ecolean in many complete packaging solutions, such as liquid food packaging, wrapping packaging film and heat sealable cover. The three packaging systems meet the growing consumer demand for environmentally friendly packaging.
The natural calcium carbonate is the most important part of the earth's crust. There is a very high purity calcium carbonate below 10 meters. It is an alkaline substance with a pH of 10, which can neutralize the water and soil caused by acid rain. At the request of the United Nations, Ecolean has compared product life cycles with several academic institutions in the United Kingdom and Switzerland: the production of 1 kilogram of paper requires 43 kilograms of water, and it cannot be recycled at all; 1 kilogram of PS requires 5 kilograms of water; 1 kilogram of sustainable packaging material only consumes 1 kilogram of water; materials used to package 1 liter of liquid; and sustainable bags are only half of the carton or plastic bag, that is, the carton The weight is 30 grams, the weight of the Ecolean package is 15 grams, and the resources used are very small; moreover, this kind of sustainable packaging has no memory and the volume of garbage generated is also small. Oak Rusen said that the consumption of Chinese fast food boxes is very large, and one-time use is very wasteful. At present, Ecolean is currently conducting tests in the sustainable snack box market that can be used 30 to 50 times in China. The snack box can be sterilized by high temperature and resistant to steam at 140°C to 150°C; it can be washed with a dishwasher; it can be used Gamma ray disinfection; degradation under ultraviolet irradiation for 3 months, but as long as it does not directly irradiate UV rays, it can be used for 4 to 5 years.

Oak Rusen emphasized that sustainable packaging materials are particularly suitable for the pasteurization of liquid foods such as milk and fruit juices. Because special products such as health foods contain active substances that are not suitable for ultra-high temperature treatment, but they require a longer shelf life. Generally, the shelf life of pasteurized products after packaging materials can only reach about 10 days, and it is difficult to meet the requirements. If pasteurized with sustainable packaging, the shelf life can reach 35 days. Oak Rusen said that low-temperature sterilization has a small loss of vitamins, and the international demand for foods is getting higher and higher. Therefore, pasteurization is now increasing. In Northern Europe, ultra-high temperature sterilization has basically disappeared. Product. Surveys worldwide show that the ideal shelf life of milk is 20 days in the case of cold chain.
High-quality packaging enhances product value Sustainable packaging is manufactured at a temperature of 190°C. The bag is completely closed, so it is completely sterile prior to filling. The sealed bag design allows the interior of the bag to be exposed to the external environment only at the moment of filling. Ensures a very good hygienic performance; sustainable bags do not absorb water, unlike cartons, which are prone to hygroscopicity and fibers are prone to bacterial growth.
