Stunned Chow Yun Fat: 3D Print Poker Launch Gun

If you've ever watched a movie starring Chow Yun-fat, you might still remember the iconic card-throwing scenes. Many guys probably wish they could pull off such a cool stunt. Well, here's some great news: you no longer need to practice for years to master it. All you need is a **3D printer**. A few days ago, a high school teacher from the U.S., Jeffery Kerr, came up with an amazing idea—a **3D-printed** poker launcher that can shoot over 30 cards in rapid succession. As shown in the image, all you have to do is load the cards into the device, turn the crank, and watch them fly out like a swarm of scorpions, creating a full-blown "attack" on your target. Kerr explained that although the performance looks impressive, the mechanism is actually quite simple. He said: "I’ve been really into designing mechanical toys lately. I enjoy working without motors or electronics, focusing instead on old-school, purely mechanical designs. In this launcher, the crank is connected to an eccentric wheel, which loads one card per rotation. The card design allows the drive wheel to spin at an impressive 3,000 RPM. Just pull the trigger, and the card tray lowers onto the loading wheel—then watch the cards fly out one after another!" Kerr has shared his design online for free, so anyone with a 3D printer can make their own. The total print time is around 10 hours, and almost all parts are 3D printed, except for a few small components like O-rings, skateboard bearings, and screws. He also warned users to keep the launcher away from people’s eyes, as it can fire up to 30 feet. While it's fun and impressive, safety should always come first. Whether you're a fan of movies, 3D printing, or just love cool gadgets, this project is definitely worth checking out!
