After using the muffle furnace for a long time, if the heating power adjustment knob is turned clockwise to the maximum position, the heating current still cannot go up. The distance from the rated value is far away, and the required heating power cannot be reached, indicating that the silicon carbon rod has aged. At this time, the silicon carbide rods connected in series can be changed into parallel connection and can still be used. When changing the connection method, it is not necessary to dismantle the silicon carbon rod, just change the connection method, and after changing the connection method, pay attention to slowly adjust the heating power adjustment knob when using, the heating current value must not exceed the rated value.
